SB Journal

With regards to scanning in magazines for Monthly Mags, i'm going to wait a bit before scanning them in. In the past i've only scanned in my favourite photos and i'll try to keep it that way.
That being said, here are my favourite photos from the latest SB Journal. It's a Japanese magazine that comes out twice a year, Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. I have no clue what is writen in there as i can't read Japanese, but it does has some of the best skate photos around.
Thanks again to my Japanese friend Matsu for the hook up!

There's a couple of shots from Brian Gaberman, no skate ones unfortunately but still good.

Danny Montoya makes an appearance too.

A lot of people should be stoked on this one.

I Really dig Japanese street skating. I'm not sure if it's the style or the never before seen spots, it's probably both. Looking back through those photos now, SB Journal is now my favourite skate mag, it's just a pity it only comes out twice a year.

Dr Rae

I used to see Andy Rae skate Livi all the time when i was growing up. He was a bit older than me so we didn't really speak that much at first. I always wondered how he was able to pop his tricks so high? He had massive pop and had the best ninja style when doing flips or grabs. (or both)

I started to skate in Glasgow quite a bit and when Girdy moved in with Andy i saw him quite a lot. For a good little while there was a good crew skating, drinking tea, and eating pizza, but like most things, it comes to an end and i think this photo sums that up very nicely.

This was the result of one to many drinks on his stag do. He dissapeared towards the end of the night and we arrived back home we found him in a heap outside the front door.
I don't think Andy knows this was taken or can even remember what happened that night. If you're reading this Andy, your welcome!

Rainy Day

Tom and Myself planned on going on a bit of a filming mission the other day but the rain soon put an end to that. So after a failed attempt at skating a spot we went to Boardwise where Karen kindly let us skate the rail inside the shop...

In harmony with The Harmony

Photobucket
Not only do The Harmony guys skate the same, the wear the same clothes.
Paul 'Silky/The Man/Papa Smuff' Silvester filmed a whole bunch of doubles lines that will no doubt appear online at some point. Good work guys!
Danny Jack and Jamie Bolland double nosegrind reverts at Millenium Park Glasgow.

Borja Santiago

A few years ago i was skating at Bristo with Jonny Black, it was pretty late in the evening and we were the last ones left skating. Then out of nowhere this guy i've never seen before rolls up and starts ripping straight off the bat. At first i thought it was Javier Sarmiento, they have a similar style but i quickly realised that it wouldn't have been him. We got talking, well kind of, turns out he had just arrived in the U.K and didn't speak a work of English. Several trips and skate sessions later he was fluent in Scotish slang.

He returned to Madrid a year and a half later and opened a skate shop 'Welcome Skateboarding'. He sent me a message last week regarding a Berrics type TF he has just opened.

Looks sick, check it out yo!
