Sunday Sequence

Photobucket

Ahhh, the good old days of the Bristo comps. The weather always seemed to be good and it was amazing how many people would show up.
Maybe next year........

Aberdeen and Glasgow

I havn't been able to film much in a couple of weeks now, the weathers been pretty terrible and the cold dosen't help either hence the lack of updates footage wise. However in the meantime watch this really good edit by Alex Craig. Features John Rattray, Div, Callum Barrack and more.

Merry Christmas!

Jack Attack!

Look how small Jack Richardson is in this photo. I shot this around 2002/2003 when Bristo was a melting pot for young talent and producing some seriously good young skaters. Jack was one of the first kids that started getting good, noticeably good.
I wish he still skated now, he was always up for a game of S.K.A.T.E and fun to have up at Bristo.
Good luck with the Poker career!

Back in the Day

Photobucket
This is from around 2001-2002. I've got so many photos from around this time, most are crap but a few are worth a second look. I'm pretty sure this is the one and only time he's done this trick.

The Kingdom

You can find this handrail in The Kingdom of Fife. I can't remember if it's in Kirkcaldy or Glenrothes, but i know for a fact that Bobby Baillie is the only one who's skated it.
I always have low expectation when skaters want to go to a rail, it usually ends up not happening for some reason or other.
Bobby always seems to deliver though, when he's on it he's proper on it.
It didn't take long for Bobby to knock out a front board

Morbid even got it on film.
He told me after that he wanted to come back and crook it.

Done!

Whats next on his list?

Shetland Matthew

Photobucket

When a new year of Uni starts in Edinburgh it brings with it a few fresh faces. Some get stuck into the 'i'm away from home let's party', not Matthew, he gets stuck into skating.

Under The Weather

Yesterday Brandon, Tom and myself went to Transgression skatepark in Edinburgh. Apart from Brandon almost crashing the car we had a pretty productive day and got alot of footage. Sadly Graham couldn't make it out due to being ill so in an attempt to make him feel better i've put this together. Enjoy..

Shift & Tilt

I've never been one for using Photoshop for other than the basics. But at the thought of having to fork out £1000 and upwards for an adaptor to give a shift and tilt effect, i thought i'd save the money and try it in Photoshop. Shift and tilt effect is basically a selected focus on your photo, and is usually associated with Large Format photography. It changes the depth of field of your subject and can create a different look.
It's ideal for long lense shots like this one of Focus team rider Bobby Baillie.
(incase your wondering, that's his own backyard ramp)

Wallman

Photobucket
Photobucket

If you've been to Livi recently you'll see that Stew Graham and Benson have made the back wall skateable. I use the word skateable very loosely here, what they've done is dumped some concrete on the lip of the back wall and made a wallride gap. It's rough and sketchy as hell.

Not for Benson though

Fresh Marble

Met up with Matt for a skate today, went to Foxspot then down the road to a new-ish marble ledge spot thats just become skateable. Was pretty good apart from the abundance of dodgey characters about tonight, also note the double set in the background of the second clip is completely skateable. There's just a gate seperating you from the run up, use a bit of initiative (buzzer) and you'll have it open in no time.
