Euro 2002 - Dani Anderson + Anton Juul

We skated this park a lot in Copenhagen, it was big and all the obstacles were well spaced out.I had seen this guy skating the day before, i watched him and his friend (Anton Juul)play a really good game of s.k.a.t.e.
I asked him to shoot this after i saw him try it just messing about, luckily for me he did it first go which never usually happens, especially in the old days of film. I wish Digital was around back then as Anton fakie kickflip fakie manualed the whole thing, it's one of the sickest things i saw on that trip.
I found this little section from Anton from 2007, apart from a sketchy kicklfip mid run it's bangin.

Euro 2002 - Henning Bratten vs Mark 92

This kicker over the bench saw a lot of action. I was shooting photos of all sorts but didn't know who any the skaters were. This guy was doing every trick over it, luckily there was a filmer there, i asked him who he was and he told me it was Henning Bratten. I didn't have a clue who he was at the time but i sure do now. He killed it.
Switch Hardflip.

After he'd thrown every trick he had over it, he skated off and the filmer left. I was wondering where to go next when a guy floated a breezy 360 flip over it. He landed and stepped off. I hung around long enough to get the shot, but not long enough o get his name.
Random guy - 360 flip.

After watching all the action from the side i could tell Mark was getting itchy feet. I had been in the arena for a good while now with no hassles so i called Mark over, casually gave him my clearence wrist band and told him to go get his board. Within minutes he was on the course skating about with all the pros and throwing down high speed bs flips.

Euro 2002 - Ed Templeton

Ed Templeton was one of the first people i noticed when i arrived in the street course, he always looks like he's having a good time which is cool.
Unfortunately with all the 'rad' action that was happening i was unable to get a skate photo of him. When they were announcing the winners after all the skating had stopped, i took the opportunity to shoot this photo.
I felt a bit like a tit but he didn't at all, i wish i'd managed to shoot a skate photo though, that would've been cool.
I found this video of the comp course being set up, check out Bastiens winning run from about 5 mins onwards. Amazing.

More Euro action to follow yo.........

Euro 2002 - Bastien Salabanzi & Marcus McBride

Bastien was practising his final run and i clocked this gap he was skating. He was breezing switch heelflips over it with ease until i got there. I shot this photo (which was a make) then tried to get another, unfortunately he landed primo and slammed a beauty. I asked him if was ok but i could tell he wasn't too impressed. Nevermind.

Marcus McBride then started nollie flipping it. I didn't have Marcus down as a comp skater, come to think of it, it's pretty weird that he was there. He was holding his own though. I got the nollie flip still and tried for a multiple exposure sequence on the one frame, worked out not too bad. (please note, i hadn't heard of digital or photoshop at this time.)
